Taxi licensing drop-in sessions
From Monday 23 March, taxi licensing surgery drop-in sessions only be on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 2pm to 3.30pm.
This is under review and may change depending on staffing levels and government advice. As soon as we have been able to assess the current situation and how it will affect our current licensing processes, we'll email you through your private hire operator or trade association.
If you have any questions or you need to update your contact details you can email email@example.com.
Coronavirus - changes to taxi licensing
Following the government's announcement on social distancing, we've taken the difficult decision to close our public reception facilities. This includes all taxi licensing surgeries.
We cannot take telephone calls due to high demand for our services. If you have an urgent enquiry, email firstname.lastname@example.org and we'll respond as soon as possible.
These web pages will be updated with our revised processes as soon as possible. This will also include vehicle testing, licence renewals, DBS and medical certificates.
If your licence is due for renewal, make your application online as normal. You'll be contacted and advised what to do next.
New taxi licensing processes due to coronavirus
In line with guidance from the government and Public Health England we've taken the difficult decision to close our public reception facilities. This includes all taxi licensing surgery appointments, drop-in sessions, knowledge tests and visual accident damage inspections.
We now have new taxi licensing processes in place. Visit our new taxi licensing processes web page for more information.
